IBM SPSS Statistics - Basic Functionality Validation

SPSS Testing

1. Launch SPSS
2. Select New Dataset then click Open

3. Click File > Open > Data. Select one of the datasets from the sample file. (See attachment "ibm_spss_sample_files_0" attached to KA)

4. Click Analyze > Compare Means and Proportions > One-Sample T Test.

5. In the new window, select a few variables from the list and add them to the Test Variable(s) section. Once the variables are selected, click OK.

6. A new window will be generated called Output1. Once this populates, review to ensure variables selected pulled data then close windows if no longer needed.
