How to Connect PlayStation4 to Wi-Fi

Find the MAC Address

To get started, you will need the MAC address of the device.

  1. Navigate to Settings.

  2. In the Settings options, select Network.

  3. In Network options, select View Connection Status.

  4. The MAC address is listed in View Connection Status.
  5. Once you have the MAC address, register the device in MyDevices.

Register the Device

  1. As of August 15, 2024, if you are a residence hall resident, visit reshalldevices.shsu.edu. All others visit mydevices.shsu.edu.
  2. Sign in with your SHSU username and password if prompted.
  3. Scroll through the Acceptable Use policy and select I Agree.
  4. On the Residence Hall Devices or My Devices screen, select Add.

  5. On the Add Device screen, fill in the fields and select Submit.
  6. Your device is now added to Residence Hall Devices or MyDevices.

  7. Connect the device to the network.

Connect Device to the Network

  1. Navigate to Settings.

  2. In the Settings options, select Network.

  3. In Network Settings, select Set up Internet Connection.

  4. Select Use Wi-Fi.
    PS4 Select Use WiFi
  5. Then select Easy.
    PS4 Select Easy WiFi
  6. On the list of connections, select samnet-guest.
