IE Compatibility Mode

This article explains how to use Edge to open pages that usually only open in Internet Explorer (IE) using IE compatibility mode.

Users can use Edge to open pages that usually only open in Internet Explorer (IE) using IE compatibility mode. To open these pages, such as DegreeWorks, follow the steps below.

Open Edge.

1. Navigate to and select the 3 horizontal dots on the top right corner located below the X button.
2. Select Settings from the menu.
3. Select Default Browser on the left-hand side.
4. Then select the Add button in the Internet Explorer mode pages section.
5. Add the DegreeWorks URL (https://degreeworks.shsu.edu/) and select Add.

This will automatically open DegreeWorks in IE compatibility mode until the expiration date (the setting is valid for one month).
