How to grant access to Evisions Intellecheck (New user)
1. Verify user should have access:
a. Check printing access should be verified by the Treasurer
b. Reconciliation and Reports may also need to be granted as well, which can also be authorized by the Treasurer
c. The approval has been performed via email historically
2. Once authorization is granted, an Enterprise Services Evisions Administrator is required to build a new user profile in MAPS Configuration.
3. Once the profile has been configured, the Evisions Admin. will need to log into Evisions Intellecheck and perform the following:
a. Select ‘users’ and move the user into the global ‘users’, then select the ‘administration’ checkbox.
b. Select the ‘by account’ tab, then select each account the user should have permissions to perform check printing, reconciliation, or reporting on from the dropdown box.
c. Move the user into the group and select the checkboxes for the activities allowed. This step must be repeated for each account/bank the person will have access to.
3. Client will need to be granted temporary local admin access. The user will then need to navigate to Evisions.shsu.edu, which is a web application driven by java. They will need to select ‘Intellecheck’ from the sliding menu then launch the application. The application downloads as a Java file and launches. The user will be prompted for their Domain username and password (Windows). After entering their username and password, they will need to select ‘refresh’ next to the dropdown box. They will be required to re-enter their username and password and select ‘BANPROD8_ORACLE’ from the dropdown before the ‘login’ button is available. These steps are only required upon the initial login. The ‘login’ button will be active on subsequent logons after entering in the username and password. NOTE: Be sure to remove local admin access once software is installed.
What is it?
Intellecheck is primarily used for check processing and reconciliations. The system is dependent upon email and banner database connections. Intellecheck leverages tables within the Banner database, and is dependent upon information within the Finance module to operate as expected.
Issues...
Data problems are typically caused by incorrect versions of FABCHKP, PHPCHKL, or FARDIRD. These applications are Banner delivered, but have been modified by Evisions to allow correct operation with Intellecheck. If an upgrade has occurred, a new version of these programs is typically required from Evisions. Any other data problems will require an ES analyst to investigate.
Another common issue is associated with printers. A printer must be installed on the clients local machine or installed within Evisions to be leveraged by Intellecheck. The physical check printer is networked and installed locally for the individuals allowed to print checks. When processing checks, if Evisions reports ‘processing successful’ to the end client but does not print, the printer is not installed correctly or has an error. This can be verified by attempting to print directly from the clients desktop to the printer.
Each user must be granted authorization on an account-by-account basis. Intellecheck will report an access violation if the user's not authorized, which should be addressed through the steps listed above.
The final error regularly encountered references an incorrect database version. This occurs when an upgrade is applied to the Intellecheck application, but has not yet been applied to the Evisions database tables. This can be addressed by an Enterprise Services Analyst who has Administrative access to Evisions MAPS Config. The application version can be reverted to the database version (which is reported in the error to the client) or the Analyst can log into the Intellecheck suite, select ‘Administration’ à Database à Upgrade and follow the dialogue boxes.
The java application for intellecheck does not launch as expected. Evisions provides the following to address this:
Clearing Temporary Internet Files
1.Be sure to close all browsers and Java applications
2.Launch “Configure Java”: Windows Button-> Configure Java
3.General -> View
4.Show:Resources -> delete all entries that start ev-ul-*
5.Close and try launching application again. If you are still unable to launch the MAPS application go to the section below, “Add your MAP Server to the Java’s “Exception Site List””
