Multiple Monitor Configuration

This article will walk you through changing how your monitors are set up in relation to a multiple monitor set up.

Body

1. Right-click on the desktop and choose Display settings from the menu.

2. In the "Display" section, you’ll see a visual layout of your monitors labeled 1, 2, 3, etc.
 
3. Click the "Identify" button to show numbers on each physical monitor. This helps you match the on-screen layout with your actual setup.
 
4. To rearrange your displays:
 
·Drag and drop the monitor boxes in the diagram to match the physical placement of your monitors.
 
Example: If monitor 2 is physically to the left of monitor 1, drag box 2 to the left of box 1.
 
·You can also stack monitors vertically by dragging them above or below each other.
 
5. Click Apply to save your new monitor arrangement.
 
6. To set your main display (where your taskbar and Start menu appear):
 
·Click the monitor number you want to set as your main display.
 
·Scroll down and check the box that says "Make this my main display."
 
7. (Optional): In the "Multiple displays" section, make sure "Extend these displays" is selected if you want to use all screens as one extended desktop.
