KatSafe: Being added to and removed from the system

Instructions on how to be added or removed from the KatSafe system.

In order to be able to receive KatSafe notifications the person has to have an active PEBEMPL record showing they are an active employee or have to be registered in courses for the current or future terms. 
 
For those who are not affiliated with SHSU and want to be removed from our KatSafe notification contact list, create a work order and assign to Service Desk FTE. 

 
The Service Desk should send the ticket over to Custom Software. They can find out the SHSU affiliated person who listed their contact information incorrectly in SamWeb>Misc>KatSafe. 
 
Once you receive that information, send it to your direct Supervisor, and he/she should be advised to forward it to the IT@Sam Manager who they work under, who will forward it to Academic Dean to contact the student. 
 
Close out the ticket once you have forwarded the information to the appropriate Director. Let the caller know that it will be completed, but do not give them an ETA.
