Body
The University has 16 Bloomberg licenses. The Bloomberg Terminal Locations spreadsheet contains information on which serial number is installed on each system. The Bloomberg Terminal Locations spreadsheet can be found attached the the Bloomberg CI.
Fifteen of the licenses are installed on desktops in the lab. The remaining license is installed on Dr. Jose Gutierrez's laptop for use while teaching. Each station that has the Bloomberg Terminal application also has a Bloomberg keyboard.
At this time, Bloomberg Terminal is a manually installed application, as it cannot be packaged and licensed as a packaged application. Per Bloomberg, the application will update automatically as long as the systems are powered on. They did state that if we experience connectivity issues with Bloomberg services, it may be due to the application being out of date.
To license the application, you must contact Bloomberg to authorize and activate the license on each machine. When contacting Bloomberg, they will need the order numbers to locate the account. The Bloomberg Terminal Locations spreadsheet identifies which systems are using billable licenses and which are using free licenses.
The Bloomberg Office Add-Ins are required and have been requested by faculty for student use. These add-ins are user profile-based, so each user must install them on any system they use.
