Overview
If you're unable to activate your account or reset your password through Account Self Service, you may be eligible for a one-time token (OTT) to complete the process. This option is available in the following situations:

You don’t have an off-site contact listed.

There’s an error in your off-site contact information.

You no longer have access to the off-site contact on file.
Instructions
If you need an OTT, follow these steps:

Contact the IT Service Desk at 936-294-1950.

Have your username or SamID ready for verification.

Provide a government-issued ID to confirm your identity.

Obtain the OTT and enter it when prompted on the Forgot Password or Account Activation page.
Troubleshooting
What if I receive an "Invalid OTT" message?

Make sure you're using the OTT in the correct location (either account activation or password reset).

Remember that OTTs are specific to each service (an account activation OTT cannot be used for a password reset, and vice versa).
What if my OTT received via email doesn’t work?

Clear your browser cookies and cache, then try again.

Use a different browser or device if the issue persists.

Request a new OTT, and ensure you're using the most recent one received.
