In Cognos 11.2.4, the legacy tool Query Studio is still available and can be used to view existing reports. However, editing Query Studio reports is not supported in some browsers such as Google Chrome. Editing is only supported in Mozilla FireFox or Internet Explorer.
To download Mozilla Firefox, go to the Software Center app, search for Mozilla Firefox and install the browser.
To edit in Internet Explorer, set your default browser to allow compatibility with Internet Explorer in Microsoft Edge.
How to enable Internet Explorer compatibility mode:
- Open the Microsoft Edge browser and click the three-dots menu icon in the top-right corner.
- Go to Settings.
- Select Default browser from the menu on the left.
- Scroll down to the Internet Explorer compatibility section.
- Go to Internet Explorer mode pages and click add a page, copy Cognos web address (cognos.shsu.edu) into the box that appears, and click add.
- This expires after 30 days, so it must be redone monthly.
