Banner - User Account Unlock / Web Access Disabled

All Service Desk staff have access to the Banner Account Status program (https://samweb.shsu.edu/acct13wp/) which allows you to see if someone is locked out of Banner Self-Service under the SSB section or Banner INB under the INB section (usually only Faculty or Staff).

SELF SERVICE - SSB 

TO UNLOCK SSB

  • Send the user a Duo Push through the Admin Portal. Once the client approves it use the Account Unlock Utility to unlock them (https://samweb.shsu.edu/acct10wp/) .

ADMINISTRATIVE APPS

TO UNLOCK Administrative Apps

  • Place a ticket to have a Database Administrator unlock the account.  Once the ticket is placed, post in the chat room to have a FULL-TIME EMPLOYEE escalate the ticket.  The FTE will use the Escalation One-Step to email dba-group@shsu.edu to escalate.
